Hampshire Police, Portsmouth and Cosham division have been running a scheme at a site near Gunwharf Quays outlet centre and Burnaby Road sports ground to counteract the escalating problems concerning vehicle crime and SAT NAV theft.

The signs are also being employed within car parks at Southsea seafront and warn motorists and tourists that thieves will steal ANYTHING that is left on display within their vehicle.

The slogan "Sat Nav got you this far, make sure it gets you home" was incorporated within the same initiative.

Avon & Somerset police, as part of their Glastonbury Festival Operation this summer employed sets of Tri Signs to assist their Covert Capture Tent and Covert Capture Car schemes within the festival site.

"The Tri Signs are there to warn festival goers that there is a covert operation in the area. It's all about putting the fear of crime back in the criminal" said the constabulary.

Miniature cameras are contained within the tents resulting in the thief being apprehended upon leaving the area.
